Recommended: 1.0–1.3 for normal use, 1.5-2.0 for rough floors or impact
Required Load Capacity per Caster

Formula used:
Required capacity per caster = (Total Maximum Load ÷ (Number of Casters − 1)) × Safety Factor

Regarding the safety factor: In normal scenarios (low speed, flat ground, low frequency), a safety factor of 1.0 is sufficient. If high-frequency use, uneven ground, load shaking, or vibration and impact are involved, a higher safety factor is needed to select casters with higher load capacities. For example, using a safety factor of 1.3 or 1.5 can increase the safety threshold for caster use.

This industry-standard method accounts for uneven floor conditions where one caster may temporarily lose contact with the ground. The Safety Factor provides additional margin for dynamic loads and impacts.
